They will be allowed to travel to border areas for the purposes of visiting relatives, tourism, government work, business, sports, or working on a day-trip or seasonal basis. I would like each business operator to be strict about hiring prohibited occupations reserved for Thais, including being strict about screening for 6 prohibited diseases: syphilis, tuberculosis, chronic alcoholism, drugs, elephantiasis, and leprosy, and must have comprehensive health insurance coverage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cBorder trade is very important, like a part of Thailand\u2019s economic lifeblood. Therefore, we must prepare for the labor force equally for all groups.\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;Pipat concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mr. Somchai Morakotsriwan, Director-General of the Department of Employment, said that for foreigners under Section 64 or Myanmar and Cambodian nationals who travel to work in Thailand using a border pass to work in border provinces of Thailand under the Memorandum of Understanding on Border Crossing between Thailand and Myanmar or Cambodia, they can apply for a work permit for 3 months at a time and can only work in the types of labor and domestic work. There are approximately 5,100 foreigners and the results of applying for work permits in fiscal year 65 were 16,014 times, in year 66 were 11,863 times, and in year 67 were 17,266 times. The types of businesses that employ foreign workers the most are businesses that produce or distribute ready-made garments, businesses that produce or distribute electronic products, and businesses
